America-that-was ...

I am not sure, at this moment, what to think.  I know that the SCOTUS rules on constitutional matters.  What I do not know is how the justices can possibly rule that Obamacare is constitutional?  Taken from the Greek "Everyman" concept, a law can easily be seen as valid or invalid by just about anyone.  Based on our Founder's principles alone it is obvious (to all but the Lawyers) that the Federal Government cannot force you to buy a product.  The design of our system is supposed to prevent the Fed from interfering in our private lives.  This law stomps on that very fundamental principle.  As long as they call it a 'tax,' the Federal government can now force you, the individual American, to buy any product or service that 'they' feel you need - regardless of whether you actually need it, or not.  If you are deemed to fit into whatever category they feel applies, you have to buy the product or service, or face punitive fines, taxes and incarceration.

Even in the (now) extremely unlikely event that Obamacare is repealed by congress or even nullified by the state(s) through the Tenth Amendment to the Bill of Rights, it does nothing to prevent similar laws from being enacted now or in the future.

All they have to do is say "it is a tax."

Whether you can feel it yet, or not, the days in which America stood as a bastion of Freedom and Liberty in a world of dictators, despots and socialism, ended on Thursday, June 28th, 2012.

The Great Experiment has failed - welcome to the New World Order .
